From Martha Stoumen and Laura Brennan Bissell, we have two delicious natural wines from two of some of the Bay Area’s best winemakers. Martha’s wine is a bit more dense and chewy, but quite elegant, while Laura’s is considered a “vin de soif” (wine to quench thirst) but still really complex.

Unfortunately, the state bill to make menstrual products non-taxable has stalled in Sacramento yet again (check out this article)… However, Other Avenues has proudly absorbed the sales tax on disposable tampons and pads since 2016– because we believe that people should not be taxed for simply having a womb. Hopefully the state legislature will follow suit and do the right thing in 2018.
Since we brought it in last month, we haven’t been able to keep AKA Coffee on the shelves!
