Join us, Sunday, August 27nd, from 1:30pm-3:00pm as we learn how to turn a head of cabbage into tangy sauerkraut. In this 1.5-hour workshop, we will demo how to prepare sauerkraut from scratch and go through fermentation basics. Sauerkraut is an ancient food that is naturally vegan, easy to make, and packed with healthy probiotics.
Participants will leave with their own jar of sauerkraut and a recipe to bring home.
$20 donation requested.
Samples & refreshments provided.
Emily Huston loves to share here passion for DIY fermented foods with others. She taught elementary school cooking classes at the Ferry Building farmer’s market and has years of experience cooking professionally.
