Celebrate October as Co-op Month with local author Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff & Other Avenues

Shanta will discuss how Other Avenues was born and the history of the Bay Area Food Cooperative Movement.

Discussion will be followed by a pickling demonstration and tasting of pickles, home-made chai, and crackers.

This event is FREE to the public and is sponsored by ShineON SF, the SF Parks Alliance, & the Office of Economic & Workforce Development.

Attendees will receive a free book by Shanta: Other Avenues Are Possible, Cooking Together, or Flavors of India (while supplies last).
