This event will take place Sunday, June 4th from 2pm to 4pm at the Sunset Youth Center, 3918 Judah Street, right next to Other Avenues.

Mat Callahan will discuss his book, Explosion of Deferred Dreams Musical Renaissance and Social Revolution in San Francisco, 1965-1975. Mat was raised in San Francisco and he is a musician and author of 3 other books including, The Trouble with Music.

Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff will read from Other Avenues Are Possible: Legacy of the Peoples Food System of The San Francisco Bay Area. Shanta is a longtime worker/owner of Other Avenues, a food cooperative born out of the New Wave Food Coops created in the late Sixties.
